This photograph illustrates how desperately my girls long for Spring.
We live in the Midwest part of the country so it’s COLD right now…. but not this day in February. It’s in the upper 50’s and heading to the 60’s on this day.
The girls headed downstairs to the bin that contains their summer clothes and changed their clothes. They were wearing flip-flops until the snow froze their toes.
Last Christmas we started a tradition in our home. We go as a family and choose a live, balled tree to decorate. The tree is decorated and set up in our sun room (which does not freeze). Then in late January, daddy plants the tree. Last year our state had a record 50 degree day! So daddy hulled the tree down the front yard and plant it!

Heading up a hill at mile 18.5!
I would have been curled up on the side of the road 20 miles ago, but they’re not! A moment at mile 22.
They rounded the corner to the finish line!
Thank goodness the finish line was down hill!
This photo leaves me speechless…what an unbelievable moment! .. can you grab me a tissue.
