ECC Co-op Kids ~ Nature Walk and World Cake:
Our ECC Co-op Kids went on a Nature Walk to complete our Backyard Habitat worksheet.
Love, love, love the prayer journal, Monica. What a beautiful addition!! And how you get your continents shaped so well on your cake? Ours ended up looking like the planet after a series of earthquakes! ;) Hope you're enjoying your year so far. :)
ReplyDeleteDid your earthworms actually burrow? Ours last year refused to do so and, thus, ended up committing suicide! :^)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you guys had a wonderful week! I love your co-op! Unfortunately ours kind of went "flop" ;-( We were not able to start near the same time so we are just going to have "Meeting Missionaries" get togethers. I love all of the books you are getting. We also loved the "One Small Square- Backyard" book and I still haven't gotten "Me On the Map" from our library- ha. Can't wait to see how next weeks goes for you. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love all the activities you are doing. I especially like the cake map!
ReplyDeleteWhat are you using for the girls to write their Geography Vocabulary in? Is it a handwriting paper notebook? I like that idea!
ReplyDeleteShawn
I remember making that cake! Looks great! Glad you had a good first week of ECC!
ReplyDeleteYes, the geography notebook is spiral bound with lines on the bottom half of the page. I got it from Miller Paper at the homeschool convention for $3. My sister helped the girls create the cover with scrapbooking paper!
ReplyDeleteLove the worm jar girls and your prayer journal looks great!
ReplyDeleteI loved ECC and can't wait to do it again! My worms did the same thing as Tina's! Your week looks great!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun week! I am enjoying going back and looking at some of your ADV posts, as well!
ReplyDeleteI love that you are doing this with young kids. I will have a 3 and 5(special ed) doing this next year. Your blog will be a huge help. thanks
ReplyDeleteSeeing this gets me excited to do ECC next year! I enjoy looking through your ADV posts too! I haven't done anything for a nature study yet, there have been LOTS of snakes this year and needless to say, Momma doesn't like snakes! But your nature studies are an inspiration! Now if only I could get over my fear of snakes....
