Winter Wednesday: #3 Night Sky

IMG_1502

Lately our days and nights have been full of clouds.  This is a view just out our back porch.  The 40’ pines bring me joy too.

Our Winter Wednesday challenge was to go out in the evening to view the winter sky – moon, constellations and stars.   Though we had many cloudy days and nights one evening on our way to get dad from the airport, we were able to view stars, the moon, and a few constellations - Orion and the Big Dipper.

  1. This is great. We need to get outside and have a little review of what we learned at the beginning of the year with Adventures ;-)

  2. Nice! We went outside at night to snowshoe through the woods and look at constellations, but it was a QUICK trip! (Our night temps are in the negatives most nights right now.) Definitely an interesting experience!

  3. I love the idea to use black paper to draw your night sky...I would love to share it with other families and link back to your entry. :)

Love your first photo too. Thank you for sharing your link with the OHC.
