Our “Little House” Co-op is reading through Little House on the Prairie this semester.
The children are building the homes the Indians lived in: Wigwam, Tee Pee and a Longhouse. They will also be making Indian jewelry.
Each family has picked an Indian Tribe to study through the course. We picked the Iroquois Indians.

The kids made their Wigwams and painted them.
Supply List:
- card board base – circular
- flexible floral stem wire
- hot glue and gun
- Spanish moss
- stripes of newspaper
- paper mache glue - cooked recipe (recipe here)
- paint

LOVE the wigwams! My daughter is just finishing up her History Pockets: Native Americans. Learning about the Native American tribes is very interesting! (My grandmother from 1820s was Etchemin.)
