Prairie Primer: Wigwams

lhOur “Little House” Co-op is reading through Little House on the Prairie this semester.

The children are building the homes the Indians lived in:  Wigwam, Tee Pee and a Longhouse.  They will also be making Indian jewelry.

Each family has picked an Indian Tribe to study through the course.  We picked the Iroquois Indians.

This is the book we are using for our lapbook:

I found a great resource on HomeschoolShare.com.  This is the lapbook designed specifically for the book above.  Check it out here!

  1. LOVE the wigwams! My daughter is just finishing up her History Pockets: Native Americans. Learning about the Native American tribes is very interesting! (My grandmother from 1820s was Etchemin.)

  2. This looks like such fun and something for me to remember when we cycle through American History next year.

Stopping by as a crawl through the TOS Homeschool Crew blogs.
