MFW Adventures: Wrap-Up for Week 6

This week was so busy and I’m running late on posting our Adventures and Little House weekly wrap-ups!

Short and sweet…

Bible: The focus of our Bible lessons this week…

Jesus IS the Bread of Life !

We learned how God took care of the Israelites in the desert with Manna.  He took care of his people and he will take care of us too!  We also read John 6: 5-13 and discussed the miracle of 5 small loaves and 2 fish.

God is offering us spiritual food – food that lasts forever! He will feed us spiritually every day as we pray, read the Word and fellowship with other Christians.  We call Jesus ‘the bread from heaven’ because He is food for our spirit and gives us life that never ends – if we ask for His Son’s death to pay for our sins – He will give us eternal life!  What an awesome and personal God we serve!!

History: We continued reading American Pioneers and PatriotsThe Courage of Sarah Noble is our new read-aloud book.

Activity: The girls had a great time making butter this week in our Little House – Prairie Primer co-op class.

After a lot of shaking and a few tired arms….wa-la!  Butter

Science:  We plan to do our yeast science experiments this week.

I have a good friend doing MFW Adventures this year too.  So we plan to combine our Science and History projects into one week for both families.  Too fun huh?

This week we will do our yeast experiments, make play dough, a napkin holder and bread.  The best part about it is that we get to do it all in my friend’s kitchen… and not mine.  hahahahhahahaha   I’m not sure she knows what kinda’ mess she’s in for !!!

Be sure to check back soon and read about week 2 in our ”Little House” Happenings – Prairie Primer.
